If you are not the type who wants cartoon characters on your children’s beddings as they tend to outgrow their favorites in lightning speed, investing on cute and modern children’s bedding and heated mattress pads for the winter is a great idea.

I am in love with Dwell Studio’s offerings but here is a great list of modern kids’ bedding from Oh Dee Doh:

  1. Dwell Studios: The colorful, always “au courant” designs really do distinguish this kid and baby bedding from the crowd. Launched in 1999 in “an effort to bring modern textile design to the world of home”, it has grown over the past decade and now encompasses many different product areas including Dwellbaby, Dwellkids and Dwelltable.
  2. EcoBaby Organics: With an unapologetically unstylish website, Ecobaby brings you the best in all that is good, both environmentally and humanely. Specializing in all of those things that go close to your skin, they are experts in the realm of beds, bedding, towels, diapers, sling carriers and cleaning products.
  3. Garnet Hill: This is the time of year we really appreciate flannel sheets. Our favorite source for them is Garnet Hill which is one of the first places we look for basic (but beautiful) bedding.
  4. Mill Valley Baby & Kids Company: A small boutique with unique products, we think Mill Valley Baby and Kids Company does a great job of editing. They have a few of our favorite bedding companies available including Serena and Lily Children’s Linens, Room Threads, and Boodalee.
  5. Nat and Helen’s: You’ll find organic and sustainable bedding at Nat and Helen’s. The selection isn’t huge but the owner takes pride in the quality of the goods and companies she does offer.
  6. Hazel and Melvin: Quirky in a good way. There isn’t an item we don’t covet from this Minneapolis-based online shop, run by designer Rebecca Yaker. Her items exude handmade charm but don’t look homemade.
  7. Modern Kid Canada: The parents who run the store carry pretty much everything you might be looking for, but carefully edit their finds to make sure they meet their criteria: benefit your child’s development, are made of high-quality materials, are thoughtfully designed, and visually interesting and innovative.
  8. Mason & Matisse: If you’re craving modern design for children yet find local resources too traditional for your taste you can head to Mason & Matisse. One of their strengths is their large selection of colorful, modern bedding including many organic choices.
  9. Finn’s Finds: Finn’s Finds has recently opened their proverbial doors as an online retailer offering a well edited selection of designer brands from places like Paris, Holland and Denmark that won’t break the bank.
  10. Modern Nursery: This online store was the brainchild of San Francisco mom Trish Meyler, who wanted to find a way to combine her internet background and love of modern design into a store that features items that are unique in style.

Christmas Home Shopping at Versai

One of the things I like best with decorating the house for Christmas is shopping for Christmas-themed décor and items. I love seeing the Christmas décor everywhere and choosing which ones to buy for our house. This year, I plan on buying linen, luxury bedding, and sheets as well. I plan to buy them in my chosen Christmas colors so that they will also have that Christmas look.

I have found the perfect website to do my Christmas home shopping. Versai has a huge collection of luxury linens, sheets, and bedding. Their products are available in different styles like solids, stripes, patterned, embroidered, lace, quilted, and many more. I have already been eyeing several styles in deep Argentina color and the Boheme or Duchess styles in gold. For table linens, I am partial to the Acanto style in Argentina color. Their tablecloths come in different sizes and I hope to buy napkins and placemats in the same style and color.

I cannot wait to finish decorating the house. I hope to be able to do this every year so that I can create fond and happy memories for my family. A simple tablecloth could bring back a lot of happy Christmas memories for my kids when they are older especially since I plan to use them every Christmas.

Getting Wholesale Towels: Bamboo Towels

Posted by admin On October - 25 - 2010 0 Comment

Bamboo towels have been gaining popularity in recent years. Most household now prefer to use them as kitchen towels or bar towels because they dry fast.

Here are some of the reasons why:

Great Quality
Bamboo Towels
Bamboo towels are highly absorbent . Because of this, they dry quickly after each use. Like a sponge, these towels will draw water quickly away from your hair and body so you dry faster. They have been proven to be as much as 50% more absorbent than your cotton bath towels. They don’t become heavy and water-logged and are naturally resistant to bacteria, mildew, and mold.

Cost-efficient
Bamboo Towels
Bamboo towels come with a price, but you can buy them as wholesale towels from USATowl.com. However, these towels are not to be bleached or added with laundry softeners so you can save more in the long run.

Environment-friendly
Bamboo Towels
Bamboo towels are also a great way to “go green” since each towel is completely biodegradable and don’t contain any harsh chemicals that will negatively impact the environment. There are no pesticides used in the production of bamboo and therefore bamboo towels are 100% natural. They are also hypoallergenic which makes them great for people who are much more sensitive their environment.

It’s the perfect choice for your family.
