As women, it is harder for us to get back to our pre-pregnancy weight after giving birth even if we followed all the healthy pregnancy advice on eating and pregnancy information passed on to us without exercise. This is why womens fitness is so important – it is truly a combination of good diet and exercise.

Setting up a gym at home has a lot of advantages. You can have the exclusivity of using the gym and can exercise anytime you want. You also do not need to worry about transportation as the venue is already in your house.

Here are some of the basic steps in setting up your home gym:

1. Know what types of exercise you would be doing and needing. Knowing which ones you need to focus on would help you prioritize the gym equipment you would need to buy.
2. Set aside space at home for equipment. If you are going to be dedicating a room in your house for exercise equipment, make sure the room is well-ventilated. Consider getting multi-purpose gym equipment to save on space.
3. Buy gym equipment. Do research and look around for good deals such as sales or pre-owned equipment in good condition.
